Silkie Trevor is
not a bit happy with her latest assignment. However she is a
professional so she wil do whatever is needed to solve this latest
case. Her mission is to find the client’s son who had been taken from
her and adopted out. The only way that Silkie will know that she has
found the correct man amidst all of the helpers at Mistral Cay is to
find an unusual birthmark on his scrotum.
Julian St. John,
the mysterious owner of Mistral Cay, is every woman’s wet dream. Though
he is the owner of the exclusive club that caters to rich women who
dream of either being dominated or dominating the sexy helpers, Julian
never partakes of what the guests offer him. Seeing Silkie for the
first time however, Julian knows that he will be breaking the rule for
her and her alone.
PASSION’S
MISTRAL by Ms. Boyett-Compo
is an utterly enthralling contemporary romance spiced with danger and
dark secrets that will grip the reader from the very first. Silkie is
an independent modern woman in the unusual profession of Private
Investigator. Though she does not care for this assignment the reader
can only applaud at her professionalism in attempting to see it
through. Julian reminds this reviewer of a panther. He is sleek, dark
and sex personified. Silkie and Julian are so obviously made for each
other that the reader will want to reach into the book and slap Julian
along side the head for taunting Silkie for so long.
The other
characters in PASSION’S MISTRAL both enhance and detract from the
story. In some cases, the readers are not really given an opportunity
to form an opinion about characters that are obviously important to the
story before they disappear. Other secondary characters really serve to
enrich this offering. So the secondary characters are really a mixed
bag.
All in all,
PASSION’S MISTRAL is an enjoyable tale and very different from most
of Ms. Boyett-Compo’s offerings. This reviewer recommends it for lovers
of contemporary romance with a lot of heat thrown into the mix.
