Chester P. Hiddles has gone through five engagements, each one of them ending in disaster. The first four were with beautiful, shallow women who inevitably showed their true colors. The fifth was with a woman he got along with quite well intellectually, but she ultimately fell in love with someone else. So now, the self-made millionaire has decided love is simply a lie. It doesn’t exist. Yet his sex drive hasn’t abandoned him, which may be why he accepts an invitation to the premiere adult store in Las Vegas.

It’s quite a classy affair and Chester stumbles across the most remarkable woman, only to find out she works with plumbing. The hostess of the party, Bastet, directs his interest towards a very special kind of doll. A fully functioning android named Nefertari.

NEFERTARI 9.0 was more about humor than about the sex. It was in the vein of Ms. Bardsley’s recent works, and stood up well next to those oh-so-funny stories. The sex was short and raunchy, but flowed very well alongside the humor. The heroine was an absolute sexpot, but without all negative emotions associated with the label. She was funny and perfectly confident about her sexuality, making her a vastly likeable woman. Chester was a great protagonist, too. He had a captivating mix of masculine sexuality and hesitance. There was plenty of snappy dialogue to give the characters full, vivacious personalities. But it was the humor that grabbed a reader and made the story a quick read. From the outlandish sexual antics and one-liners, to the insane accident that gave Nefertari her ultra-weird personality, NEFERTARI 9.0 was a riot. It also produced serious human insight and enough romance to keep sticklers happy.
