Returning to visit beloved characters (the eccentric Russo family and friends) from her previous “Little Italy” Series (The Trouble With Mary and What To Do About Annie), author Ms. Criswell once again pens a story that is sure to be loved and treasured by her reader fans.

Tiny, delicate Mia DeNero isn’t exactly what people envision when they think of bodyguards. But after going through countless career choices and failing, determined to do what she wants to do most of all, Mia opens her own little bodyguard service, “Guardian Angel,” and prepares to receive enough clients to prove to her family that this is the right choice this time. Except, Mia’s looks keep everyone from taking her seriously. She’s at the “desperate point” when along comes just what she needs: a client in danger.

Nick Caruso is an FBI agent undercover to expose the Mob’s connection in the small ‘Little Italy’ area. In order to “get in” with the residents and appear innocent, Nick poses as a nerdy author who’s writing a book about the Mafia. Hiring Mia as his bodyguard wasn’t exactly what he considered his smartest move, and things take a turn into absolute chaos from that moment on.

To better protect him, Mia moves Nick into her apartment. When she discovers there’s a sexy guy hidden beneath that nerdy disguise, sparks start flying between the two. Along with comical situations, delightful zany characters, and trademark humor that abounds, Ms. Criswell has added another great, keeper book to her reputation.

Having read her previous two books in the series, this reviewer knew that MAD ABOUT MIA was sure to be a great, enjoyable read. She loved revisiting the eccentric characters of the Russo family and friends, and found them just as ‘fun’ as before. One will love Mia’s strength of character and her willful determination to succeed against all odds. Nick was a sexy hero that is sure to leave readers sighing, wishing that all “ugly ducklings” could turn out to be that hot! The reader will love the laugh-out-loud moments, as well as the sexual tension between Mia and Nick that keeps turning those pages. Readers don’t have to read the previous two books to enjoy this one, but as a reader and reviewer it would be recommended that neither is missed!
