Emily Franklin finds her world coming to a crashing halt with the devastating revelation that her husband of more than 20 years, Robert, desires a divorce.  Emily slowly comes to the realization that in trying to live the life that she thought would please her husband, she not only lost any perspective on what would bring her pleasure, but she also lost the husband she sought only to make happy.  Inch by painful inch, she rebuilds her life and remakes herself into the person she had always inwardly desired to be.  When her older son Kevin meets the young lady he wants as his wife, Emily is drawn into a close relationship with Kevin’s girlfriend’s family, and most especially her father, sexy pastor Dennis Morrison.  Meanwhile, Robert’s relationship with co-worker Susan is at an impasse and he finds himself longing for what might have been had he remained at home.  Yes, LOVE WILL FIND A WAY but where to and who with?

Barri Bryan, the husband and wife writing team Herb and Billie Houston, has written a winner with the contemporary tale of lost love found and personal growth.  This reviewer found all of the characters to be sympathetic, which is somewhat unusual in a tale that features adultery as a cause for divorce, but Barri Bryan has found a way to engross the reader in the lives of every protagonist and display the strengths and weaknesses of each.  This reviewer believes that either relationship would have made for a great ending and would enjoy a sequel that gives further details on what happens next in the lives of the fascinating characters.  While there is somewhat of a preachy overtone in the tale, it is never condescending or accusatory in tone.  Barri Bryan has tackled a sensitive subject with deft and grace and penned a tale that was richly satisfying to the reader.  This reviewer recommends this tale to all readers of contemporary romance, especially those who enjoy a mature heroine.
