The Dazzling
Debutante makes a
flirtatiously funny entrance!
Cupid and Venus are
back to meddle in the lives of mortals. Venus made a bet with Mars that
she could make two people fall in love without magic. Either that’s
impressive or just plain impossible.
Olivia
Montgomery’s father recently accepted an ambassadorship to Turagray.
With ever-increasing acts of terrorism worldwide, he feels that Olivia
should learn how to defend herself. He enrolls her in Gideon White
Eagle’s training facility, never realizing that Cupid and Venus are
also there and planning some tactical maneuvers of their own. And when a
couple of deities set their minds on something, anything can happen!
The writing team of
J.M. Jeffries still has that magic touch! Once again, they have written
a book that is both whimsical and sensual. The capers of Cupid and Venus
will have readers smiling, while the romance between Olivia and Gideon
will have them sighing with pleasure.
The setting at a
school for defensive training was sheer brilliance. This spy spa was a
hotbed for some hilarious moments between the characters. When Cupid and
Venus enroll in the school, under their aliases of the Contessa and
Mario Cupidano, the lessons enter a whole new dimension. These experts
in love divinely guide Olivia and Gideon, but an unexpected surprise
almost sidetracks the sortie.
The Cupid series
continues to give readers playfully passionate stories. The dialogue
between the immortals has an irresistible blend of the contemporary and
the historical.
Olivia and Gideon
White Eagle were made for each other, but they just needed a little help
in getting started. The transition that comes over these characters
enfolded beautifully. Their contrasts added to the sensual tension, and
also made for some lighter moments.
The Dazzling
Debutante is absolutely
divine!
