Ms. Godwin writes another thriller and this time it’s set within the big top of the circus. Passion, excitement, twists and turns makes Dark Masquerade a thrill to read.  It is an edge of the seat ride that every reader will enjoy. Her characters are full of many characteristics that will captivate the reader as well as make them root for them to succeed. Ms. Godwin writes with flair to deliver a timeless classic that will keep the reader wanting more after the last page is read.  The main character, Randa is full of dark passion as well as a longing for love itself to rescue her. She is a strong female heroine that is a perfect compliment to her hero, Blaise. Each of these characters as well as her secondary characters move the story along at a fast pace that makes it an enjoyable read. The interplay between characters are interesting and mesmerizing to read as well as the any nuances that make them so captivating. This reviewer couldn’t put the book down as it drove me to keep reading after each page. This is truly one of Ms. Godwin’s best works yet. Dark Masquerade is not for the faint of heart though. It is truly dark in some places and had this reviewer shivering with the dark tone but at the end, the ending will delight the reader. Dark Masquerade is truly an exciting look into the dark secrets of the circus as well as the glittering life on the runway. If you want to read an edge of the seat thriller, Dark Masquerade is one of the best to have in your collection. This reviewer is looking forward to reading more from Ms. Godwin. Kudos to a breathtaking absorbing look into the big top and the dark side of passion.
