Megan Hart’s, CONVICTED, is one emotional and
heart-racing suspense story!
She didn’t trust him enough. Three years ago,
Lisa Shadd testified and put Deacon Campbell in a jail cell. Now he is
out and has come home. Lisa has never forgotten the way she felt in
Deacon’s arms, but could she trust him enough now? Especially when so
many strange and disturbing things have been happening to Lisa lately?
Deacon has said that he forgives Lisa. He says he didn’t do it. Can
she believe him? Can she forgive herself and start again?
With danger and suspense lurking around every
corner, Megan Hart has penned a gripping thriller in CONVICTED. The
storyline had this reviewer glued to the page. Every time someone
appeared on the canvas, the spotlight swung to someone else. This
reviewer couldn’t wait to see if her suspicions were correct. As
tension builds, and layers of the mystery slowly unfold, CONVICTED
rockets toward an explosive finish.
The characters were very well written and complex.
Lisa has had to live with Deacon’s incarceration on her conscience for
three long years. Her guilt and her joy at seeing him again after all
that time could almost be felt. Readers will also understand Duncan’s
frustration at being made to feel like a criminal at every turn, while
still having strong feelings for the woman who sent him to prison for
three long years.
Megan Hart is one of those rare writers who are
able to write well in a variety of genres. It comes as no surprise that
Ms. Hart has conquered romantic suspense as well with CONVICTED. This
reviewer can’t wait to see where Ms. Hart’s fertile imagination will
take her next.
