After the hit and miss on Jessman’s life, Bells has decided to return to the Liberty City Freezone to find out who exactly wants Jessman’s life.  This is not without danger as there seems to be someone out for his own life.  Bells is a gunwhore, not only beautiful, but deadly and someone would be really stupid to go against him.  Bells has grown very attached to Jessman and is determined to save him, even knowing that their relationship can’t last.  Meanwhile, Jessman is back in the corporate world, trying to deal with the backlash that his inattention has caused.  He is ready to do anything that will bring Bells back into his life and bed, but cannot see a future with Bells in the Freezone.  What he stumbles upon almost costs him his life, unless Bells can get back to him on time. 

In this fifth book of the THROUGH NEON EYES series, Michael Barnette brings Bells and Jessman even closer and packs a lot of emotion and adventure into this great story.  There is a lot more plot in this episode as Bells and Jessman race against the clock to find the people who want to kill them.  Mr. Barnette paints a grey, dark world, where you are either on the poor side of the wall, or the rich side.  Bells, has managed to cross the barrier through Jessman and finds himself in love with a man who is being hunted.  The action and adventure is tight and tense and the reader will be on adrenaline with these two characters as they move through a world that is dangerous and ruthless.  This reviewer has enjoyed every book so far and is looking forward to the next one.
