When a production company wants to produce their next film, staring George Clooney, in Applewood life will never be the same for Lisa, Maddie and Ruth. Forged together they are determined to keep the president of the PTA from halting production in their schoolyard.  

Life doesn’t stop while they plot to save the project. In fact Ruth is dealing with her desire to be loved. Although she’s married an accident has left her husband unable to fulfill her sexual needs. A woman can’t be expected to go without sex forever, can she? 

Lisa is trying to find her own with a handful of children, one who may be speech impaired and a recovering alcoholic mother, who only wants what’s best for her daughter. But will she make life worse for Lisa? 

Maddie is feeling under appreciated to the point she believes her husband is being unfaithful with his distant cousin. Will Maddie seek revenge in the arms of her dearest friend Jack? 

After reading SECRET CONFESSIONS OF THE APPLEWOOD PTA, one would think Ms. Meister had been writing forever, but that’s not so; this is her debut novel. And let me tell you it was incredible. 

The life issues these women faced were realistic. This reviewer felt their hardships could have been felt by me or any of my friends. Just when you think nothing else could possibly go wrong; bam! It did. 

This reviewer routed for the underdogs from the first page. Every time the trio would get a tiny taste of victory, the rich, snobby president of the PTA would one-up them. It kept you reading, wondering if the snob would ever get hers. 

SECRET CONFESSIONS OF THE APPLEWOOD PTA will have you laughing hysterically one moment, seething with rage or crying the next. It’s an emotional roller coaster, but well worth the ride.
