When Aspen Brooks, the most popular girl in school
loses her title of Homecoming queen to her rival, Angel Ives the head
cheerleader, she is only in shock for about three seconds. This would be
the exact time that Rand Bachrach is titled Homecoming king. Rand’s not
that bad of a person, if you can over look the fact that he drives a car
that “takes care of the environment.” Rand’s the biggest dork in school
and not in a good way either, and he wasn’t really supposed to win.
However, the school can’t over look the fact that Aspen Brooks didn’t
win when Angel mysteriously disappears and the last time that she was
seen, she had a mouthful of Lucas Riley, Aspen’s boyfriend. Of course,
Aspen thinks that the only reason Angel is, “skipping” school is so that
it looks like Aspen did something to her…until Aspens own mother
disappears after Angel does. Is Aspen next, or is Lucas? Find out by
reading the book.
This book can completely hold anyone’s attention, because of the way it
brings its intensity from love scandals, to disappearances, and even to
late night stake-outs. Those are all the reasons why this reviewer gave
this book five stars. The passion between the hero and heroine is almost
unbearable, this reviewer found herself sitting and saying “just kiss
already” in numerous parts of the book. However, this book doesn’t only
make a person do things they normally wouldn’t during love scenes but
also can bring someone to the nail-biting point in other parts. For
anyone who reads this book to not like it is almost unbelievable,
because this book was written with such dexterity that you almost have
to have no feelings to not at least look around, wince, or become keen
during some part in the book. The fervent feelings within this book make
it all the better. Unlike an assumption that some people may make based
on the title, this story is great for every one, the class loser, a
jock, a nerd, a band geek even; no matter what you are there is most
likely something in this book for you. So go and buy your copy of it
