During the day Miriel of Rivenloch seems to be the complete opposite of
her warrior sisters, but at night she becomes the daring renegade
“Shadow” who robs the rich in a Robin Hood like way. No one knew her
identity, but now the mercenary Sir Rand la Nuit was hired to discover
the real person behind the Shadow. Soon Rand and Miriel find other
things to occupy their time with and very soon not only their hearts are
at stake but also everything they live for.
KNIGHT’S PRIZE
is the great conclusion of a wonderful trilogy and this reviewer highly
recommends reading LADY Danger and CAPTIVE HEART prior reading
KNIGHT’S PRIZE. Otherwise you miss out on the whole background of
the sisters and why they are as they are etcetera.
What’s so special about this book and the whole trilogy is that the
heroines, even though it is the 12th Century, are not the
typical meek and tame women, but are warriors in their own rights. That
is what sets the trilogy apart from other Medieval romances. Ms.
McKerrigan also created for this book a fascinating cast of characters,
who each have their own special role to make this story unique.
So if
you are looking for an unusual romance book with a strong heroine, you
really have to pick up a copy of KNIGHT’S PRIZE. This reviewer
can hardly wait to see with what Ms. McKerrigan comes up next |
