Dark Thirst

Brendon Noble is one of the Brethren, a clan who are ruthless vampires. They however see him as defective as he is a deaf mute due to an accident in childhood. Actually he is defective as Brandon has no desire to kill humans. Running away from the clan, he heads to the house of his old teacher and instead runs into his teacher’s sister Angelina Jones. Can one of the Brethan love a human? And more importantly, what will happen when the clan tracks him down?

Fans of vampires and paranormal romance rejoice! Sara Reinke is a fresh new voice to a genre that has become stale. Ms. Reinke’s Brethren are a new breed of vampire who are born rather then made. Brendon and Angelina are wonderful lead characters that this reviewer would like to meet in person. They have both been burned by their past yet are drawn to each other and the chance to start anew. The villains are enough to give readers chills at night. And the secondary characters are a kick in the pants. This reviewer certainly hopes that a couple will be granted their own books. For that matter, this reviewer is waiting impatiently for the next book in this refreshing series.
