THE ABDUCTION OF MISS JENNY CHANDLER is
surprisingly what the book is actually about. The beginning of the book
starts out with Jenny Chandler and Irish, a character that isn’t in the
story very long, well not alive anyway. Captain John “Gray” Grayling and
the rest of his posse are told that there is a Comanche attack taking
place. As they leave to go and defend their border, and small town they
unknowingly leave the two women to be kidnapped. Seconds after the women
are taken captive; Irish just keeps telling Miss Jenny Chandler that
Captain Grayling will rescue them. Gray gets caught up in the fight to
save Irish and Jenny, and while Irish escapes, Jenny and Gray’s future
isn’t quite as desirable, well not for a while anyway. To find out what
Jenny and Gray’s future holds purchase this book today!!
This reviewer was jumping for joy, sometimes hatred, and even jumped a
couple of times in fright for the characters lives all of the way
through the book. So why only four stars, one might ask? This story was
only given four stars from this reviewer because as odd as it sounds
this reader likes the books to be cliché but not extremely cliché. While
THE ABDUCTION OF MISS JENNY CHANDLER isn’t extremely cliché it is
still a little bit more than desired. Nonetheless, this book was
wonderful and the tension between Captain Gray trying to fight his
desires and still remain happy is something that will draw a reader in.
The strain between Gray and Jenny is also very interesting. The plotline
of the book was absolutely wonderful and had all the really tense spots
of a suspense novel with more of a romance and realistic kick to it.
This book is very believable, at least for a fourteen year old girl.
This reader would definitely recommend this book!
