Over the summer,
senior Sergei “Von” Vonosovich has grown from a skinny geek to a stunning
example of young manhood. Now due to a serum that Von’s father had been
working on prior to his death, he is a starter on the varsity football
team and he is dating the love of his life. But do the benefits really
outweigh the risks?
The new coach, Mike
Minot, had a promising career in the NFL until he injured his knee. Now
he is just passing time until he manages to find a way to go back to his
real life in the pros. And he is willing to do anything, including
murder, to find his way back.
MONSTERMAN
by Joseph J. Curtin was a very pleasant surprise to this reviewer. It
starts out as a mild mannered novel that steadily builds into an intense
thriller that will have the reader sitting on the edge of the seat. This
is one book that is difficult to put down until the very last page.
The characters are
what really carry this book. At the beginning of the book Von is a jock,
yet not a stereotypical one. He is well read, considerate and well liked
by everyone. He then starts a steady decline into a person that no one
would care to know. Mike Minot is a jerk from the very beginning and he
will be one that readers will love to hate.
This reviewer
recommends MONSTERMAN to all readers who enjoy thrillers with a
strong touch of the paranormal. Get your copy today!
