Sci-Fi/Intrigue

Ciana Stone’s MIND GAMES is a sci-fi romance that captures readers in its tangled and twisted web of intrigue and danger at every turn.

Brandon is an agent for a covert government agency.  Along with Kahl and Mitchell, her fellow teammates, she has been through many a dangerous mission.  After a teammate dies on a mission gone bad, Brandon starts to think that her memories are being tampered with.  Tampered memories are just the top of the iceberg when the three agents are sent on another mission that goes horribly wrong and things turn toward the weird.  Brandon finds herself unable to determine what is reality and what is implanted memory.  When it appears that even her own teammates are lying to her, Brandon doesn’t know who to trust.  Her life goes from confusing to frightening in a blink of an eye as she finds herself intimately involved with an alien, an evil dictator and a sexy new team member.  Brandon is determined to find the truth, no matter the cost.

Ciana Stone’s MIND GAMES is one tangled web of deception.  What if you couldn’t differentiate between a dream and reality?

Ciana Stone certainly knows how to keep readers guessing.  Every time our heroine thinks she has finally figured out what is going on, something happens that leaves her second guessing everyone and everything.  This reader too thought she had it figured out a time or two only to find the story going in yet another direction time and time again.  Add to this intriguing confusion, several very heated scenes with a sexy alien and a new partner both vying for our heroine’s affections, toss in an evil dictator bent on torture and a nice sci-fi backdrop and you have Stone’s MIND GAMES

Of course, as sometimes happens with a complicated storyline, not every question is answered by the ending of the book.  But then, this only keeps readers thinking about the book days after it has been read and put back on the bookshelf.  Any time this reader is still thinking about a book a week after reading it, I know I have found an author I want to keep an eye on.  Ellora’s Cave has unearthed another real gem in Ciana Stone.  What will that fertile imagination come up with next?
