Caitlyn has lost her memory.  She doesn’t remember a thing about her life.  She works as a psychiatrist’s secretary and dreams of a vampire lover at night.  Since her attack her mind doesn’t seem to want to remember.  Aiden Devlin was suspected of her attack but had been released.  One day she is determined to meet him and find out what he knows.  Imagine her surprise when he announces that she is his wife.  Then she meets her sister who is also amazed and happy to finally see her.  They had all thought she was dead.  Caitlyn is overwhelmed.  She soon realizes that Aiden is a vampire, but that would be that she must be a ‘gasp’ vampire too!  But she doesn’t drink blood, can go out in the sun.  The Slasher, the serial killer who is out to get Caitlyn is looking for her.  There is betrayal within her new found family and nothing appears as it is.  Although she has no memories of her husband, her body seems to remember him all too well as she melts at his every touch. 

Michelle Hasker has written a very gritty, exciting story that will thrill the vampire lover.  She has built a believable world, bringing vampires, witches and other paranormal entities directly into the modern world.  Her characters are multi-dimensional.  Aiden is a man devastated by the loss of his soul mate and his desperation to have her back is palpable.  Caitlyn reaches out to the reader with her emotions.  The reader can feel her confusion, her love and her determination to get to the bottom of the mystery that surrounds her.  Ms Hasker has done a marvelous job of involving the reader’s emotions in this gripping story.  This reviewer was captivated and held until the last page.  Ms. Hasker takes her readers on a wild adventure with a plot that twists and turns with one surprise after another.  This reviewer found this tale breathtaking in its scope and depth.  The love scenes are sensual and hot.  Ms. Hasker is a writer that needs to be watched very closely.  This reviewer is sure that there will be many more wonderful stories to come.
