Trying to help her
recently divorced friend, Rose invites Gina
to Mango
Island.
Rose hopes
Gina
will scratch that burning itch to get laid! Although Rose
has that same itch, she’s more interested in selling her newest paintings
to one of the director there for a business conference.
When Rose
and Gina set eyes on Gary
and Luke, they wonder if a one
night stand is in order. Luke,
Gary’s
assistant is all for getting to know Gina
better before having some fun. Gary on the other hand craves the feel of
Rose’s body under his. A no strings one-night stand is all this man wants.
As the heat in the
bedroom steams up, there’s a storm brewing on the coast. Will the cyclone
come and rip Rose’s hopes of pursuing more than a fling with Gary? Will
Gary face his fears of storms or will it send him fleeing to the safety of
home, far away from Mango Island?
MANGO HEAT was a
well-written book. The premise of the story was very intriguing and the
setting was very interesting. Ms. Dickson introduced all the players
within the first few pages, overwhelming the reader. This reviewer
struggled with the hero and heroine. They didn’t pull me in right away,
nor was I impressed with the hero. In fact, this reviewer found herself
hating him.
This reviewer was
unable to keep track of Rose and
Gina. This reviewer had to
continually go back to see who was talking. This reviewer felt more
description was needed to keep track of who was who.
This reviewer did
enjoy the plot. The hero’s fear of storms and it’s relation to his past
was a nice touch of putting a touch of suspense in the story. This
reviewer believes Ms. Dickson’s writing would be more enjoyable if the
hero and heroine were given more room to grow in the beginning. Luke,
the secondary character kept this reviewer reading the story, rooting for
him all the way!
