Margaret Blake’s FORTUNE’S FOLLY
is a beautifully moving story of love maturing and rekindling long after
the dust has settled on a divorce that should never have been.
Eight years after divorcing her
childhood crush, Helena is having a hard time coming to grips with the
strong attraction she still feels for her ex-husband. But Andreas is
still hurt and angry. When circumstance and family matters bring them
into contact, the sparks fly.
Set among the splendor of Cyprus,
Margaret Blake’s FORTUNE’S FOLLY is a heartwarming story of second
chances and a love that cannot be denied. The setting for this story was
beautiful. A warm, tropical, relaxed island in Cyprus where Helena and
Andreas both grew up provide a tantalizing setting rich with the promise
of love. Into this splendid setting, add two very different but lonely
people. Take away a few roadblocks to romance and you have FORTUNE’S
FOLLY.
Helena is a wonderfully tortured
character. She has known Andreas all her life. Their families were very
close and when he finally saw her as a woman, she happily married him.
Then tragedy struck and things came to light that threw her life into a
tailspin leaving her marriage in ashes.
Now she is a wiser and more mature
woman who has learned to take care of herself but has never gotten over
her first and only love. Andreas is an equally compelling character. He
is strength and action, money and power. He is blond and blue-eyed and
every woman’s dream man come to life. When he finally realizes he should
have fought for his wife, he comes through as the hero we knew he could be
and attempts to win back his lady love.
Margaret Blake’s FORTUNE’S FOLLY
is a wonderful little escape to a tropical island and love revisited that
romance fans are sure to enjoy.
