Several years ago, Jaxon and Suzanne met at a nude beach on Crete and
their first meeting was very explosive. Years later they met again through
an online ad. They continue where they left of in Greece. The play by the
champagne rules -- that means great sex, but no commitment. Very soon they
discover that they really want to have more out of this relationship. Will
their long distance relationship between San Francisco and Vancouver stand
a chance in the long run?
Champagne rules
is a terrific debut novel, Ms. Lyons wrote a hot steamy story with great
characters, that you will fall in love with. The story is perfect
combination of a very emotional love story and hot scenes. You won’t be
able to put down this book, because it’s a real page turner.
Jax
and Suzanne’s relationship is from the start on not an easy one. First of
all they have a long distance relationship, plus they have to fight
against certain prejudices, because Jax is Afro-American and Suzanne is
white. There is the scene at the playground with the police, which makes
clear how difficult it is to go against this prejudice. This reviewer
really likes the fact that Ms. Lyons includes the message into her book to
be more open-minded about interracial relationships.
Another fun factor in the book are Suzanne’s three girlfriends. Their
dinner meetings and their talk about men are just hilarious.
You
will definitely want to keep an eye on Ms. Lyons, she is definitely a new
addition to this reviewer’s auto-buy list and
Champagne rules gets a
special place on her keeper shelf.
