Isabel Ingandello
is career woman, with no desires towards having a husband or children.
However her mother and best friend have other plans and set Isabel up on
another date. This date however, turns out worse than the others and
Isabel is stranded on a mountain top in the middle of a beautiful winter
storm.
Daniel Fox came to
his great-grandfathers cabin to a hide away from the world. Out hunting
with his wolf one night finds something he had not planned and was not
sure he wanted. Daniel though is a good man and cannot leave the
unconscious woman in the woods to die.
The heroine is
feisty, stubborn, and with willpower many men would shrink from. The hero
is the same but with him comes a grim determination and he finds himself
not able to give anything more.
Diana Hunter’s
Cabin Fever is exactly
what the title represents. A cabin in the middle of nowhere and the fever
that these two characters create is hot enough it could burn the forest
down around them. The tension between the two is taunt with need and
pride the reader begins to wonder if they will ever conquer it.
The scenes are told
with such striking details that you can feel the snow, smell the wood,
taste the passion, and hear the sounds of the woods creaking and the fire
popping. The heroine is strong and independent while being feminine at
the same time. The hero is virile, commanding and tender all at the same
time. Her beauty and his striking good looks complement each other so
well that you find yourself fussing at them when they are being stupid,
giggling when they do something embarrassing or silly, and angry when they
let their past, pride and fears get in the way.
This story is
definitely a play on the emotions of characters and the readers as well.
This reviewer hopes to see many more tales by this truly gifted romance
author.
