Contemporary Romance

Sofie Peterson is a fourth grade teacher who finds herself suddenly single and on a cruise ship with her best friend, Libby.  Sofie had had a bad time with men; her husband left her – for another man.  She agrees to come on this trip with Libby with the idea that they will flirt their hearts out and “love ‘em and leave ‘em” when the trip ends.  What neither woman bargains for is that the guys on board might be Mr. Right, or they might be Mr. Wrong for any woman.

Finn Baxter has been chasing the man who destroyed his ex-partners life.  Although he left the police force the night his partner died, he opened up a PI firm just to revenge his senseless death and the demise of an innocent woman.  Finn has finally cornered the conman responsible, but he doesn’t bargain for the woman who will steal his heart.  Sofie pulls strings he didn’t know he had, and he finds himself putting her in the middle of his investigation.

As always with a book by Judy Bagshaw, you know you are getting a book worth reading.  Ms. Bagshaw is a talented author who has once again penned a tale that will keep your fingers turning the pages.  Her novels come filled with full-figured heroines and heroes to drool over.

BIG FAT LIES is a fast paced tale that will delight your senses.  She packs a bit of history and a great visual picture of places we all will want to get to know.  Sofie and Libby visit the Dominican Republic and San Juan on their cruise.  While in port they see sights that are delightful whilst they find romance and true love.

Besides her sea port descriptions, Ms. Bagshaw also delights readers with enough page turning drama to make this light hearted tale a heart pounding event for Sofie.  Readers will find her charming innocence delightful and will be appalled by her innocence as she is taken advantage of.  She is a perfect heroine with just enough “negative issues” to be realistic.

Secondary to the main plot, Libby is a great best friend who finds true love in her shipboard romance.  She is a major part of this story and deserved her own romance.  While her part in the tale is not primary, she deserves to be mentioned as she is highly likeable and noteworthy.  She is the best friend who every woman wants to call their own.

This reviewer recommends heading to Amazon or Draumrpublishing.com to pick up your copy of BIG FAT LIES today.  This is a light read that turned a rainy afternoon at home into a sunny trip to the Caribbean.
