Adrian could not be happier at the strong woman Kat has become.  He is also aware that Kat will one day possess great magic and he hopes to use that magic for his advantage.  In her attempt to pay back her family’s debt, she finds herself spending more and more time with Adrian.  As Kat begins to fall under Adrian’s spell, he too falls under hers.  But when Kat finds out everyone knows about her magical potential but her, she is hurt and doesn’t know whom to trust.  When an enemy seeks to destroy Adrian, secrets are revealed and Kat must decide if she can trust the man who holds her heart.

Gina Rosavin has wound such an intertwining and magical storyline in her A TASTE OF MAGIC that readers are unsure at first whether Adrian is Kat’s hero or her downfall.  This reader thoroughly enjoyed Adrian’s internal battle between darkness and light.  Though he has arranged events and people so that he will eventually gain Kat’s family magic, he soon finds that her love and trust in him are worth far more to him.  In order to gain her love and trust, Adrian is willing to put his very life on the line. 

And while Adrian is dealing with his newfound feelings for Kat, she is slowly coming to realize that everyone in her life has kept secrets from her, secrets that she sees as betrayal.  Both characters are so rich and complex; it would be very hard not to want to see them together.  And when they do get together, the heat generated could light up the world, or in this case, rise them to new heights (pun totally intended even if it won’t be understood until the book is read).

Gina Rosavin’s A TASTE OF MAGIC is filled with witches, vampires, magical powers and lots of energy.  None of the characters are what they first appear.  This paranormal romance has readers caught in the web of secrets they hold.  This is definitely an author to keep an eye on.  A TASTE OF MAGIC’s October release date makes it the perfect Halloween treat for paranormal fans.
