This reviewer fell in love with Madeline’s innocence and sweet personality. How could one not love her? Just ask her wicked stepmother! That is one character that you will love to hate! Jace is a man trying to help out his family. His cousin Emerson is engaged to Madeline’s sister Eleanor. Emerson sees dollar signs when he looks at Eleanor and is determined to keep all of the inheritance for himself. So Jace finds himself in an awkward position of claiming to be something he isn’t in order to attempt to learn if Madeline is who she says she is. Author Sharol Louise takes Madeline and Jace on an outdoor adventure that left this reader giggling uncontrollably. This had to be the best part of the whole book… well, maybe not.
