Alex Night has
decided to move out of the private detective business and start writing
mysteries. He’s got himself an office at the Writers and Artists Building
in Boulevard in Hollywood but can’t quite get past the title on the first
page of his novel. He is being plagued by clients who still want his
services as a private detective. One of these clients has a theory about
a certain Fabergé Egg that’s worth ten million dollars and used to belong
to Randolph Hearst and his mistress Marion Davies. Seems there are other
parties interested in the egg and dead bodies are turning up at an
alarming rate. On top of all this, Alex’s fiancée goes missing. Ex-KGB
agents, billionaire producers, beautiful killer tomatoes and a Hollywood
Sex Goddess all play integral parts in the mystery of the missing egg.
Poor Alex finds himself spending too much time in grave yards, being
followed by murder and mayhem and trying to be the first to unravel the
mystery. My bet is on Alex.
Andrew J. Fenady
pens an entertaining story that gives the reader a thrilling mystery and
will certainly have her smiling while reading. He spatters the story with
lots of references of old movie starts, films and songs as he leads the
reader into a story that is intriguing as well as humorous. His
characters are multi-dimensional and very real. This reviewer liked how
the author portrayed Alex as a man who is desperately trying to write his
novel but more than procrastination is constantly thrown in his path. His
telephone calls with his mother lend humorous moments and the secondary
characters give depth to the story. Readers of mystery stories will
certainly enjoy this one. The dialogue is snappy and witty, easy to
follow. The reader can practically hear the dialogue in her head. This
reviewer felt like she was watching a movie while she was reading and it
was hard to put down. This reviewer liked the ending very much…but she
will not give it away here. A must read for sure!!
