A serious
disappointment in life has Cade Ryan on a downward slide of living in
sweats, playing video games and ignoring the world as he once knew it.
The place that he has rented in order to lick his wounds seems adequate
for such except for occasions of a terrible racket coming from the
upstairs neighbor.
Shell Anderson
really needs to practice for an upcoming concert. She is a cellist and
has a great love of even the more esoteric pieces. Her passion for music
comes through clearly in her playing.
If only her
romantic relationships could be so successful. Unfortunately, she has
been going for the wrong type of guy. A minor run in with a kind but
nerdy man may well be the beginning in a change of luck.
For such a short
book readers will truly feel that they get a complete romance which brings
emotions into play.
While this may not
be a new kind of storyline, Ellen Fisher takes an old tale and makes it
fresh. Readers will find the magic of the story in the details used to
bring the characters to life.
One cheers Shell on
in her peeking beneath the thick lenses, the unkempt appearance and the
lack of general fashion sense of our hero. That surface layer covers
soulful eyes and a man worth the effort of digging for.
It is a pleasure
that the author takes the time to allow the attraction to convincingly
build. When Cade and Shell come together it is moving, sweet and
sensuous.
You never know
where you will find your prince. Why not sit back and enjoy the account
of this search?
