Sebastian has known
nothing but the cold of death since his soul was claimed for fighting in
God’s name without any faith. His only hope was that eventually he would
be redeemed and welcomed back into the fold of the faithful. That is
until Allie blew into his life.
Allie has always
been considered the crazy one as she believes in things that go bump in
the night. Being rescued by the Templars was the best thing that ever
happened to her as she now found some place to belong. And having a bunch
of tall, sexy good vampires on a girl’s side can never hurt.
Looking for a tale
with sinfully sexy vampires, villains that look good enough to eat but
with hearts cold as ice, a feisty heroine that won’t say quit and a quest
for redemption? Then look no further than the debut offering by Rene
Lyons, MIDNIGHT SUN. The Templars were cursed for fighting in
God’s name when they had no faith. Now they struggle for redemption.
They are definitely the good guys as they are not allowed to take a
human’s life except in self defense or they have no chance of ever being
welcomed back into the fold. And talk about sexy! These guys are the
cat’s meow.
Ms. Lyons has done
a wonderful job of crafting a tale full of suspense and yet just enough
humor injected to give the reader a breather. Her characters are so real
you almost expect them to step off the pages. And what reader would not
like to have their own Templar? The only issue this reader has with this
enjoyable story was the editing as it did detract from the overall
enjoyment. There were places where the verb tenses conflicted and others
where the word that was let slip by clearly was not correct. This
reviewer is looking forward to the next in this series as Ms. Lyons is
very talented word weaver and prays that the issues with the editing will
have been corrected.
