Contemporary Romance/Comedy

Shortly before her planned wedding with Jack, Cecelia’s long lost sister comes to visit her. Amy represents everything that Cecelia dislikes, because she loves her orderly life, whereas Amy lives the life-style that is typical for someone with Gypsy blood. When she starts talking about true love and that Jack isn’t Cecelia’s true love, but a man with name Finn is her true love, who will die soon. At first she doesn’t believe her sister, but more and more she realizes that something isn’t right in her life, especially when she meets Finn in person. From this moment onward not only her whole life is turned upside down but also Finn’s.

Ms. Holquist delivered with Make me a match a funny debut novel! The plot idea is an unusual one and you get hooked onto the story very fast. Cecelia as well as Finn are interesting characters. This reviewer especially liked the development of Cecilia, from the prim and proper doctor to a normal woman that enjoys the wonders of life and love. There were also moments when this reviewer really felt sorry for Jake, the soon-to-be ex-fiancée of Cecelia. Altogether Make me a match was a fun read with fascinating characters that will keep you smiling about the antics while you read the book.

So if you are looking for a funny romance, you shouldn’t miss this book!

This reviewer is really looking forward to read more books by Ms. Holquist. This reviewer hopes to someday see a sequel with Amy’s story.
