Paranormal Suspense

Rhiannon Neeley’s JOHN, the first in her Raven’s Revisited series, is a sexy vampire delight flavored with just a splash of humor.

The Unkindness of Ravens or Raven Clan have fought a war with the evil vampires for over 200 years forcing the vampires to live in small “clutches” to survive.  John Raven is the leader of the Raven Clan, a seasoned warrior with a powerful presence.  Madison Woods, a wild child in her youth, is finally beginning to be looked upon with respect by the town she has grown up in now that she is a published author.

When her work of fiction hits a little close to home for a vampire clutch, John Raven, posing as a vampire in order to infiltrate a vampire clutch, is sent to find out exactly how much Madison really knows about vampires and where she gained this knowledge.  Madison had no idea that vampires really existed but when the main character from her book suddenly appears telling her that vampires are real and have targeted her, Madison’s respectable image might just be the least of her problems.

Rhiannon Neeley’s Ravens are a well trained, disciplined and sexy family of vampire hunters that fight to keep the vampires at bay.  These men are strong, dominant and very persuasive.  Madison just wants her parents and her home town to be proud of her.  The last thing she needs right now is to find out that the creatures she created in her newly published book are real and want to shut her up permanently.  When Madison meets John and learns the truth, she is torn between her very real desire for John and keeping her newfound respect in the community.  These two characters are so very different that readers will simply have to chuckle with the humor of the situation as Madison’s eyes are opened to the unbelievable.

Rhiannon Neeley really knows how to turn up the heat factor in her Raven books.  John positively sizzles and when he gets together with Madison, the results are explosive.  The book moves along at a nice clip and though the storyline is a tad weak, JOHN still comes across as a highly enjoyable afternoon read.  Fans of vampire romance that enjoy a bit of humor with their bite are bound to enjoy JOHN and the Rhiannon Neeley’s Ravens Revisited series.
