Athair, leader of the Eagle Clan, realizes that they need to mate to ensure their survival.  When he leads  them to another clan, they are betrayed.  They are attacked, and when Athair is wounded he finds help from a veterinarian.  He soon realizes that she is the hope they so badly need.  Hope witnesses the attack of a woman by some very strange men, later when she meets Athair, she gets drawn into a strange new world.  A world full of shapeshifters and their fight for survival.  Althair needs to persuade her that she is his mate and a very powerful member of the Eagle Clan.

Shannon has written an exciting story full of adventure, betrayal, love and hope.  Her multi-dimensional characters abound, from the hero and heroine to various secondary characters.  Ms. Shannon has crafted a tale that is thrilling and chilling.  She draws her reader into a world where dark secrets lurk in the shadows and not everyone is whom they seem to be.  Ms Leigh weaves a magical story that will enchant the reader in its depth and clarity.  This reviewer was enthralled and hopes that Ms Leigh will soon have more of this series available.  Shifter fans will enjoy this story and will shout for more!
