Riana is a dragon who is stuck in human form until she gives birth to a half human child.  Because of her incredible beauty in human form, she was raped near to her fertility time.  While she is traveling on a bus to nowhere in particular, she meets Adam, an elemental of strong powers.  He is what her kind call a Dragon Heart, a dragon born inside a human form.  Adam offers her a place to stay and while she is there they become close.  After the baby is born, she offers to take him back to her lair where he can go through the ritual to become a full dragon.  The only thing is, he may just forget all about her when he loses his own memories to make way for the formation of dragon ones.  Will their new found love survive this ritual?  Or will Riana be alone again. 

H. M. Brown has written a very poignant short, fantasy story that will have the reader captivated.  This story has multi-dimensional characters, an interesting plot, and a wonderful ending.  The author knows how to captivate the reader, how to pack a lot into a little and how to keep the reader interested.  Riana is in a dilemma, but is able to hold her own.  Adam doesn’t really know what is in him, but his chance meeting with Riana changes his whole life. This reviewer enjoyed the magic of the elements in this story and the dragon lore.  This reviewer often enjoys a short story that gives her characters to think about after.  For a quick afternoon read, this is perfect.  This story will touch the emotions, keep the reader turning the cyber pages and at the end will wonder if more stories in this dragon world will be forthcoming.  This reviewer certainly hopes so.
