As it turns out, the dragons known as the Aethereal are not the only
guardians the Ancients left behind to guard the galaxy against the threat
of the malevolent grays. After displacing Aethereal renegades who’d taken
up residence among one of the Ursar, the dragons bring humans along to
meet the huge purple bears that are another race of guardians.
In many ways the Ursar are as alien to the humans as the dragons
themselves, but they have more in common with one another than either race
has with the Aethereal. It doesn’t take long for new friendships to be
forged between the two races, human and Ursar.
Soon there are a number of humans living among the Ursar, and the giant
bears are more than happy to have them there. A new alliance has been
forged and only time will tell how much both races will get out of the
exchange.
AETHEREAL'S CLANS adds a whole new dynamic to the Aethereal
universe and this reviewer, for one, was absolutely enthralled by it. The
Ursar are a wonderful addition to this literary world—invariably charming,
completely fascinating, and a perfect match for humankind despite the
sizable physical and culture differences between them and us.
If this series continues to improve, Love Romances & More will need to
come up with a new rating of five and a half hearts just to do Mr. Wilcox
and this fabulous series sufficient credit. This reviewer so enjoyed
revisiting the Aethereal’s human partners, and watching their
relationships develop—with one another and with the Ursar—that he
truly hated to finish the book and set it aside.
This reviewer’s advice? Grab the nearest dragon and fly, not drive, to
the nearest place to pick up a copy of this novel. If you like dragons or
even giant purple bears, this book is not to be missed.
