Paranormal Romance

Lady Amelia Thornton has hired Josie Drummond, a paranormal investigator,  to certify that her home is haunted.  Amelia wants the certification so she can increase her tourist revenue – a genuine haunted castle will bring in plenty of business.  Lord Deverell Thornton is a ghost.  Deverell wants to prevent the swindling of the family’s fortune.  He reveals himself to Josie and they travel back in time to try to change history.

Josie is a thoroughly modern woman.  She is highly intelligent and very strong.  They are traits that will come in handy as she tries to blend in with society.  It is highly amusing to watch her try to fit in to the regency period.  Deverell is the epitome of the male aristocracy we have come to know and love.  He is a little arrogant due to his status but there is an underlying gentleness that readers will love.  He becomes a little discombobulated as he falls in love with Josie and has to deal with a woman who will stand up to him if she needs to.  This couple is very likable and the reader will enjoy their journey toward their “happily ever after”.

HUNDREDS OF YEARS TO REFORM A RAKE is a highly engaging romance that blends the paranormal and historical genres.  The author does a wonderful job of combining the elements and has produced a fun book to read.  From the lead couple to all the supporting characters, the reader is pulled into this story.  There is humor, action and romance – what more can a reader ask for!
