Suspense

Two decades ago in a tragic car accident that killed her mother, Rina Morell lost her eyesight. However, her doctors insist there is no physical cause to her loss of sight. After twenty-two years of blindness, she has become sensitive to what is happening around her.

She is unaware that Alex Lopez, her husband was involved in the car accident and has a good reason to keep her close but she has never understood his coldness.

When Rina begins to have accidents, only Baby, her guide dog is between her and disaster. Her sight changes as the accidental incidents escalate and she feels threatened when she sees people as auras.

CIA Agent JT Wyatt reveals he’s been watching Alex to expose his criminal background. His role is to find out the names of the cabal which controls him.

Rina’s life is now filled with terror and she can trust no one, but JT and her friend Taylor. JT has to prove his fidelity and that he’ll do his best to protect her. She still wonders if he’s really interested in her or her inheritance, to show her he’s only into watching Rina. Now all she has to do is learn to trust again.

A full on suspense thriller, with the emphasis more on the woman in peril, than the romance, an ideal book for readers who like edge of the seat thrills. Action packed with gruesome murders, thrilling car chases and a high anxiety factor keeping the tension elevated. The heroine’s focus is on finding her dog, while keeping away from her desperate husband and his hand picked assassins. The characters are varied and well drawn with very nasty villains and a sadistic husband who will stop at nothing to get his way.

The tension is held to the very end with its open conclusion. The story twists and turns in all ways as the heroine tries to stay ahead of her trackers. The conflict is very well written, with an unusual prologue that has an unexpected meaning further into the story. The memory flash backs are threaded into the story with skill, making the fear factor escalate slowly. From seedy motel rooms to fast cars and high society, the reader is taken on an interesting ride.

The romance is woven very slowly into the plot as her sight begins to return, but is not the primary plot line. DOUBLE VISION is an interesting and fast paced read, with believable characters and plenty of suspense.
