Ramses, the werelion lives in Africa.  He’s the leader of his pride and has had the Dreaming.  He dreams of his human mate.  He lets himself get captured and ends up in a zoo in the United States of America.  Shana Tory has had nightmares of a lion since she was five years old.  Now, the dreams are turning her on.  Drawn to the zoo one day, she meets the lion in her dreams and later he turns up in her bedroom, as a naked man.  Soon, she is in love with her dream but a rival werelioness has come to upset the balance.  A werelioness who enjoys human flesh, who believes that Ramses should mate with her and who is out to knock Ramses from his throne. 

Sapphire Phelan has written a very exotic story of werelove.  She has added a new twist on the shapeshifting legends which this reviewer is not going to divulge, you will have to read it yourself, but it is rather unique.  This is a exciting story, with some rather violent elements where lions will behave as lions.  The protagonist, the lioness, would rather return to the days when they hunted humans, which she herself still indulges.  This reviewer did enjoy this story, the love scenes are very hot, the plot exciting, however, this reviewer found the writing a wee bit stifled and not flowing enough.  But, all in all, a great story and an enjoyable read. This reviewer is certain that lovers of shapeshifter stories will enjoy this one.
