Vie is the only known empath employed by the Cimmerean League.  She can enhance and amplify any of the other league member’s powers and she has never been able to just let go and enjoy being with someone else until Bolt enters her life.  He’s had a secret crush on her for a long time.  Everyone else seems to know about it too.  Known for his super strength, when they finally have to work together against an old enemy that seems to have risen as the Phoenix, he has to share his secret with her.  He is able to connect with her psychically.  At first Vie fights the attraction, but Bolt is out of patience and he is not letting her go.  Working together with him will just about save her life. 

Kelly Maher has written a dark story about an enemy that has gotten so powerful he is almost able to bind and capture the Cimmerean League in his ban.  Also about a strong, stubborn woman and the man who hopes to tame her.  She explains wonderfully, the depth of magic used, the feelings and the emotions and of course the highly sensuous romance between Bolt and Vie.  This is one great read and this reviewer devoured every word not really wanting it to end.  But when it did, it was with a big satisfying sigh!  Kelly Maher is now an author that this reviewer is putting on the ‘to get the backlog’ list.  She has certainly impressed this reviewer with her writing and I encourage readers to give her a try.
