Two years ago,
Doctor Kendall Bryne had her heart ripped apart when the swashbuckler Rory
Quinn, the Phantom, kicked her out of his life. When Rory is brought to
her almost dead from torture, Kendall finds that her love for him has
never died. Even after she finds out the reasons for what Rory did, will
she ever be able to forgive him?
With PHANTOM OF
THE WIND, Ms Boyett-Compo is at her best as she graces her readers
with a first rate story of a love that will not die, regardless of the
challenges thrown in its path. The reader is first introduced to Kendall
who is a strong, independent woman who has been severely hurt by the one
that she deeply loves. Despite the past between her and Rory, when he is
brought to her almost dead she heals him and in doing so discovers that
her love is as strong as it ever was. Rory is the ultimate bad boy who
has found his mate. However, he has his work cut out for him in
convincing Kendall that his love has never faltered.
What really set
PHANTOM OF THE WIND apart from other stories of this genre for this
reviewer were the dream scenes. The scenes where Kendall relives their
past are so touching that this reviewer had tears in her eyes. Oh, and we
must not forget Munch, Kendall’s Elfinish cat, who has an opinion on
everything that she does not mind sharing with Kendall and Rory. This
reviewer alternated between wanting to cry and laugh most of this book.
This reviewer very
highly recommends PHANTOM OF THE WIND to any lover of futuristic
romances and talking cats. Get your copy today as you are sure to be
enthralled by Rory, Kendall and Munch!
