Claire Wingate has had the worst possible day. After catching her fiancé
literally in the closet “engaging” the Sears repairman, she has to put on
a happy face to be a bridesmaid in her friend’s wedding. No wonder she
ends up getting drunk! What she doesn’t expect is to find herself waking
up with childhood crush Sebastian Vaughan, son of her mother’s gardener,
who mysteriously just stopped visiting one summer almost twenty years
ago. Following his mother’s death, Sebastian feels the need to reconnect
with his only living parent, his dad. What he doesn’t expect is to hook
back up with heiress Claire, but their irresistible attraction has them
exploring the possibility of sex without strings. Can both of these
shattered individuals change their moods to one for love?
I’M IN NO MOOD FOR LOVE is part of a series of books featuring
female authors and friends set in Boise, Idaho set in Sex, Lies and Online
Dating by Ms. Gibson. Ms. Gibson is known for writing sexy, humorous
books and this one certainly fits the bill. Claire’s life is a comedy of
errors and Sebastian is just the sexy hunk to fix it right up! This
reviewer enjoyed reading about the further adventures of the characters
featured in the first book and they were well written as secondary
characters in this subsequent offering, although it is a stand-alone
tale. Claire and Sebastian are sympathetic and their back-story certainly
explains why they presently take the actions they do. This review must
note that Claire’s inability to find a man who simply loves her was
somewhat clichéd but it was still entertaining. The suspense element
added to the story as well. Fans of romantic comedy and Ms. Gibson will
enjoy this witty tale. This reviewer certainly did and looks forward to
the next entries in the series. Highly recommended.
