Jacki King knows
how to make a girls heart go thump, thump, thump, in NO MORE PRETEND!
What’s a girl to do
when the guy she’s head over heels about, who just happens to be the bass
player of Blue Silver publicly announces he likes skinny redheads? Well,
dye her hair red and work off all that pudginess, of course!
Even though Marci
Anderson lost her chance of seeing her dream man Brad Nix play in concert
twenty years ago that didn’t stop her from becoming the person he always
claimed he liked. She’s played pretend all her life. Now she’s been given
a once in a lifetime opportunity to see Blue Silver in concert, and she no
longer wants to pretend.
Brad Nix is looking
for someone real. He’s tired of groupies who will say or do anything just
to be with him. So when he meets Marci he doesn’t know what to with her.
Besides having a night of wild group sex! Will they continue to pretend
and go on with their lives as though the one nightstand never happened?
NO MORE PRETEND
is the story of Marci Anderson another member of the Silverettes and she’s
just as sexy as the others. Ms. King does a tremendous job bringing Marci
to life. Marci is smart, sexy and realistic. Although she’s changing to be
someone the hero wants, she realistic enough to know it’s very unlikely
Brad will ever see her. Which with most rock stars this is true. They’re
out of reach.
Brad, the hero is
grown up and down to earth! He’s not sporting the egotistical attitude
that most rock stars are portrayed as having. He’s an average Joe, just
looking to do what he loves the most; play rock and roll.
Ms. King pulls you
into NO MORE PRETEND from the first paragraph and keeps you reading
until the end. This story is short enough to read in one sitting, but hot
enough to set the house ablaze! A word of caution you may want to keep
your partner around while reading this book, it may benefit both of you if
you know what I mean!
Ms. King has
written one part in the Blue Silver series, but this book like the rest,
can be read as a stand-alone. So go buy your copy of NO MORE PRETEND
today you won’t be sorry!
