Faith NightStar, an F-Psy, has been trained to feel no emotions and to only foresee events relating to business. Yet lately she has been having visions of blood and suffocation. When she finds out that her sister Marine has been strangled, Faith decides that it is time to find out what is happening to her. Sneaking out of her compound in search of a Psy that will tell her the truth, Faith discovers much more than she could have ever imagined.

Be sure that you have nothing planned for the next several hours when you go to pick up VISIONS OF HEAT by Nalini Singh. This is one book that refuses to be set aside for anything. Ms. Singh takes her reader to another future where the humans, changelings and Psys co-exist to a certain extent. To a future where the Psys are trained from childhood to feel no emotion, where the F-Psys have become almost a fairy tale as they are that protected and reclusive, being told that they will go insane if touched or are around other people. This is the world where Faith NightStar was raised in. Kudos to Ms. Singh on her world building!

VISIONS OF HEAT is one of those books where all this reviewer can really think to say is Wow! The vision of the future and the characters themselves are created so flawlessly that it was quite the shock to this reader’s system to finish the book and come back to this reality. This reviewer encourages any reader who enjoys paranormal or futuristic romance to rush out to pick up VISIONS OF HEAT as satisfaction awaits.
