Contemporary Erotic Romance/ Multicultural

Tomas Ruiz comes from Southside, the wrong side of town. Although he’s grown up in the drug and gang infected side of town, he’s managed to build himself a construction company and a name for himself. Sometimes that name isn’t a good one, especially when it comes to women. Tomas is known to love his women and the more bad the better. Bottom line Tomas doesn’t do good girls.

Seraphina Norris is a good girl, at least from all appearances. This former missionary has moved into a mansion now owned by Tomas and wants to build a music school for the financially challenged. Never mind that Tomas is planning on knocking down the old mansion to pave way for a new development.

What happens when this badass and good girl team up to get what they both want?

SOME ROUGH EDGE SMOOTHIN’ was a bit off the beaten path for this Spanish speaking challenged reviewer. Ms. Trent’s writing was as good as this reviewer expected; only I had to keep stopping to look up words to follow along. This is no fault of Ms. Trent’s as it is a multicultural story.

The hero Tomas is sexy, smart with a rough edge. He’s not above raising the stakes to get what he wants, including proposing a marriage of convenience.

The heroine Seraphina may be a former missionary, but her mind is full of dirty thoughts. She has one thing on her mind, doing Tomas… anywhere!

Throw a wisecracking, love life meddling lazy secretary into the mix and you get a bit of humor too.

Overall SOME ROUGH EDGE SMOOTHIN’ was a well-written story. The sex scenes are sizzling; this reviewer just suggests you have some basic Spanish behind you.
