Dexter Travis returns home to find his sister consoling her friend Elaina.  Elaina is the woman he’s been fantasising about for years, but he knows that she could never fall for a geek like him.  A single parent, Elaina’s life revolves around her son who has gotten sick with a life-threatening, nameless disease.  Wanting to help all he can, he discovers that he can get the cure that her son needs and together they head off to the jungle to find a certain plant.  While in the jungles, Elaina discovers a wild side to Dexter she’s never seen before, and it’s not long before Dexter’s fantasies are becoming real.  But when they return home, will she still love him as the geek, or will she only want the wild side of him. 

Oh, this is such a warm, loving, heart-wrenching story; a story of friends becoming lovers.  The reader will fall totally in love with Dexter and will be cheering for him as he wins his lady.  Ms. Copeland has poured a healthy amount of emotion in this story and the reader will be hard pressed not to reach for a tissue.  Ms. Copeland has also added a healthy dose of sensual, romantic sex between these two star struck lovers.  The reader will certainly be reaching for the ice bucket.  This reviewer has always been a great fan of Jodi Lynn Copeland’s work and this story is no exception to the excellence of her writing.  It is always a joy to read a story from this talented author and this reviewer can only highly recommend her works.
