Crystal Charmaigne ‘Tally’ has just turned sixteen which means that she has to walk down the aisle just as her mother, Queen Snow (Snow White) did when her father, Prince Charming came and planted that lovely little kiss that makes everything better.  Tally also has seven dwarf uncles, six that live with her and one that has disappeared. Anyways, right after her birthday party unmarried princes start to show up and want do different things with her.  After she finally thinks she has met the right one, she finds out he’s not so right after all.  So  her uncles help her escape to go and find the seventh dwarf so she doesn’t have to wed this prince that her mother and father both are positive is Tally’s prince.

This book was a wonderful follow up to the first book in the Royal Pains series, still captivating and a slight bit more suspense filled than the first.  This reviewer gave the rating she did for the reasons that even though it stands pretty well on its own there are several inside jokes that readers would miss without having read the first book. Also, there were numerous words that this reviewer couldn’t figure out the meaning of even after she asked her parents.   This reviewer was caught off guard when the books linked because the extract that is at the beginning of the book leads you to think that the books aren’t linked in any other way than the fact that the reader to believe that the books aren’t as closely linked as they really are.  The characters connected with this reviewer because of this author’s style of writing and being able to captivate an audience of almost any age.  The way the book ended was not the way that this reviewer thought it would end either; however the feelings between the hero and heroine were still captivating.  This book was definitely a good read and had a great fairytale story behind it; this reviewer especially loved the fact that the ending isn’t the normal prim and proper ending for someone like the daughter of Prince Charming.
