Season of Blood

After a thousand years of imprisonment, Boryn is finally set free. He needs blood to regenerate and other desires are screaming to be satisfied. So long alone in the earth has him looking like nothing more than a mummy. Then he meets Catrina. She lost her family years ago and has never learned how to use her powers as a Valàfryn werewolf. She’s just started her first season and desire and violence are raging in her body. Boryn could just maybe give her what she needs, if she doesn’t kill him in the process. Both are highly attracted to each other, but is it just lust and need, or is there something deeper going on between them. Catrina gets the chance to join a clan, and Boryn has maybe found his soul mate.

L Shannon has written an intense, powerful story that will grab the reader’s attention and hold her totally captive. She writes multi-dimensional characters that are engaging and different. L Shannon has chosen characters of different nature, from different backgrounds who find love and need to overcome their obstacles to hold onto it. The plot is exciting, full of adventure and this reviewer also enjoyed the little bit of humor L Shannon puts into her stories. In this one, poor Boryn is being stalked by an old woman who wants him to change her into a vampire. The reader will surely chuckle to read what becomes of her. L Shannon writes a well rounded story and her work is always a joy to read. This reviewer has to highly recommend L Shannon’s work. It is not to be missed.
