Paranormal Romance

Enter a world where there are Guardians protecting humans from the Nightmares that exist to drain their victims dry, it is this premise that introduces us to Ms. Day's first book about the Dream Guardians.

Aidan Cross is a member of the elite warriors who keep the Nightmares at bay.   Nightmares are parasites who found their way onto our plane of existence, the Guardians stand between them and us.  Aidan is sent to protect Lyssa Bates and she turns his world upside down.  Normally, the Guardians aren’t seen by the dreamers but appear to them as part of their erotic dreams. Lyssa sees Aidnan.  It is believed that there is a Key that can unlock the worlds thus letting the Nightmares destroy the world, if Lyssa is the Key, then she must be destroyed.

Aidan and Lyssa are powerfully drawn characters.  Aidan is a nice blend of brain and brawn.  He and his fellow guardians are very likable and we look forward to future books about them.  Lyssa is more than a match for Aidan.  She is a strong and intelligent woman.  She accepts him for what he is and wants him in her life.  The same can be said for Aidan but who knows what the future will bring. Their relationship is highly erotic and Ms. Day proves again her ability to ratchet up the temperature.  Although it feels like there is an over-abundance of sex (a minor quibble), it does fit the storyline.

PLEASURES OF THE NIGHT is another winning story from Ms. Day.  It is a unique take on dreams/nightmares and what happens to us when we fall asleep.  The world she has created is richly detailed that will enthrall her fans with characters that will keep them reading.  If only there really were sexy Dream Guardians that come to us when we sleep!!
