Fantasy Romantica

Kyla is locked up in a boring, stuffy castle with nothing to do but help in the kitchen, beat the carpets and perform other mundane tasks.  No more balls, pretty dresses or handsome men to come and court the fairy princess.  And it’s all because of the war.  One boring day, the cook shows Kyla how to make a love potion to help pass the time and when Merlin, an elf, comes to the castle with news of the war and to meet his brother, Kyla slips some of the potion into his wine.  She also takes a few sips herself.  Suddenly she is totally in lust with Merlin.  Then she hides herself on their boat, headed off to the Southern Isles and could just put Merlin and his brother’s mission in jeopardy.  Merlin has to save Hivernia, but he can’t keep his hands off Kyla.  With an important mission at stake, they have to find an antidote very soon.

This book finishes the story started in ELF SONG and LLEWELLYN’S SONG.  It can be read alone, but it is recommended to read the first two books first.  In this story, Samantha Winston takes her readers back to the fantasy world of Hirvernia, where fairies, elves and humans live and interact.  Her heroine is a sweet, saucy fairy and her hero is Merlin, a more serious elf, whose mission is very important.  Ms. Winston gives her story a good dose of humor that will keep the reader smiling and some very hot, sensual sex scenes with a little mild BDSM to make the reader heat up.  This reviewer quite liked this story.  It is written in a rather fairy tale type style and if the erotic scenes weren’t in there, it would be perfect for kids.  This was the only thing that this reviewer was a bit put out about.  Other than that, it was a fun read.
