Historical Romance/Inspirational

Lady Jennava has a secret. The savior of children and the wrongly accused, Kind Heart is her alter ego. Kind Heart has been hailed by many as a great hero. Of course a person like that can’t do their good deeds without making many enemies.

King Cyranius has his hands full. An heiress that refuses to marry, a vigilante who refuses to reveal himself to his king and all of the other matters that comes with running a kingdom. Cyranius has no use for women. Then why does Lady Jennava stir his interest?

Don’t be lulled into believing you know what will happen next, because you don’t. Many times this reader thought she had it all figured out and then along came a twist that would totally shake things up. KIND HEART is packed with intrigue and action that will leave the reader breathless. To this reviewer this book seemed to be quite long, yet she couldn’t wait to find out what will happen next. Rich in detail, author Carolyn Ann Aish has penned a believable storyline and characters. Including characters that are not as they seem, both for the good and for the bad. One of this reviewer’s favourite characters started out to be a villain, the King of a neighbouring kingdom.

While a terrific storyline throughout, this reviewer was left disappointed at the end, not that it didn’t end happily, but the ending seemed forced and sudden, as though Ms Aish was trying to keep the story under a maximum length. All other adventures that Lady Jennava went on were well described, full of adventure and long enough to keep this reviewer satisfied. The ending however was a disappointment in this area.

This book was released in 2003. But don’t let this detour you from reading KIND HEART. There is a reason it is still available. That is because it is a wonderful book that is well worth the read. Enjoy!
