Janus is a ceremonial magician and a very old vampire, one day he finds the newly made vampire Lyall, who was left behind without any kind of training or protection. He takes him under his wing, but soon both of them find themselves in the middle of a war between to rivalling vampire gangs. Will they survive the conflict unscathed and what will bring the future for them? 

When this reviewer read the cover blurb of CASTOFFS for the first time, she thought, Wow that will be a fantastic book, but unfortunately the book wasn’t as good as the she expected. There was really no development or depth in the relationship between Janus and Lyall, which you would have expected in an erotic romance. Another point that disturbed the reading fun of this reviewer is the fact that there were too many jumps back and forward in time and place within the story without a clear structure. That was quite disturbing when you read the story. Ms. Fiddler could have delivered a very intriguing story with CASTOFFS, because the story has so much potential. This reviewer is sorry that she can’t give this book a better rating due to the before mentioned reasons. 

Be careful this book is not only a m/m book but it also contains several violent scenes in addition to the BDSM elements, that might be disturbing for readers with a faint heart. 

Ms. Fiddler has definitely potential and this reviewer will surely give her next book another chance.
