Suz deMello’s THE WILDER BROTHER
is the crazy, mixed up romances of two very different sisters and the
equally different men they can’t live without.
Nicole and Dana
Newcombe are identical twins that couldn’t be more different. Nicole is a
famous supermodel always out for a good time. Dana is a quiet and bookish
scientist, happy to fade into the background. Trying to prove a point,
Nicole ends up stealing Dana’s boyfriend and then rubs salt in the wound
by inviting Dana to their wedding. Dana should probably be angry with her
sister, but then there was that whole steamy monkey sex in an elevator
thing with the other Wilder brother, Colt, at the time.
Suz deMello
certainly knows how to put a little humor into her romances and THE
WILDER BROTHER takes that humor, a bit of adventure and a lot of
steamy sex and turns out a really enjoyable little romance. From a
chemical peel gone bad to an ill-fitting dress to a drunken bridesmaid,
the hilarity just keeps coming.
The book moves at
such a quick pace that it is almost confusing as both twins go from crazy
ideas, to even crazier actions before reality comes crashing down around
their pretty ears. And then there’s the wedding, when things get crazy
all over again.
The differences
between the four main characters are what make this book so much fun to
read. It is easy to see how the two more obvious couples can find
happiness, but so much more fun when the seating chart gets switched
around and they end up with partners they would have never expected. But
perhaps the most interesting aspect of the story is that the meat of the
story happens after all that, when the honeymoon is over and done with.
That aspect of the story is unusual in a romance and really causes the
book to stand out in this reader’s opinion.
Suz deMello’s THE WILDER BROTHER
is pure pleasure to read and sure to leave a smile on your face. If you
are looking for a spot of laughter with your romance, then it is time to
take a walk on the Wild side with Ms. deMello and THE WILDER BROTHER.
