King Kabril is told he needs to find his mate and give his kingdom children.  According to prophecy, his mate is an Earthling.  Kabril looks at humans only in disgust as they need machines to take to the air, not like his race who have wings.  Kabril, king of the Buteos Regalis has no need of a human mate, but he is forced to visit Earth and search for her.  He never suspected that he would find a female that would make his blood boil, his heart soar and he would fall in love.  Especially, as the female in question is stubborn, adventurous and very caring.  He hasn’t told her who he really is, and learning the truth just may make her hate him.  His enemies are also interested in the new queen and want to take her away from him. 

This is the age old story of man not wanting a mate, man finding a mate, man falling in love with mate, man may lose mate.  Mandy M. Roth has wrapped up this plot with some very exciting characters, a fabulous world of incredible creatures and a conflict to add a touch of excitement.  Also in the mix is a to-die-for hero and a very feisty heroine who is more than his match, even though he is at first prejudiced against her.  Ms. Roth gives her reader a sensual, sexy, hot romance with very hot sex scenes.  So, readers, keep the ice bucket near by.  If you like what you’ve read, then pick up the others in this series.  There are five books from Samhain, and so far, this reviewer has enjoyed every one she’s has had the pleasure to read.
