Starmen

Vincent and Miroc are long-standing members of the science community on their home planet and they have come to observe the intelligent life forms found here. Those observing are prohibited from direct contact or interference in any way with the species they are studying.

Our aliens are greatly moved by the plight of their two beautiful subjects and the harsh treatment they seem to be receiving from their own people. Unable to watch the abuse continue Vincent and Miroc form an impromptu plan in order to save them. But first they must lure the poor females towards security.

Close friends from childhood, Jody and Berny decide to stay at a health resort together. They hope to slim their voluptuous bodies within the two month period for which they have signed on. Vigorous bouts of exercise and limited calorie intake may be effective but it has also left these women dreaming of food. Or at least they think they are dreaming at first…

This is a story of one of the most comic misunderstandings between aliens and humans that many of us will ever have the pleasure of coming across. Readers will love the view of an outsider trying to make sense of our actions. Not to mention the “rescue” and subsequent attraction between the two pairs.

Miroc and Vincent have very distinct personalities as a somewhat mismatched team of by the book and mild troublemaker. The dialogues they have with each other will keep you in stitches as they bicker and banter their way through situations.

Jodie may be the sensible one in comparison to Berny’s more impulsive nature but both are at a loss on how to handle their change in situation. We don’t become as familiar with the heroines as we do the heroes but what we are shown is certainly adequate for the storyline.

The romance may be a bit of a stretch but the sex scenes will get you heated even as some of the incidents make you chuckle.

There is a small inconsistency in detail and the work would have improved with a bit more attention to editing. There were instances of incorrect but similar sounding words being used or a word that was unintentionally repeated in a sentence. One hopes that the future works of this author will be handled more carefully.

Those in need of a quick dose of hilarity need only plot a course to STARMEN!
